The LGU Angat held the MPCC meeting today, August 20, 2024 at the Municipal Conference Room regarding the implementation of Price Freeze due to the declaration that the Province of Bulacan is in the State of Calamity. The meeting was attended by the members of the council together with the participation of invited CSOs from Angatenos Pride represented by Ms. Edna Fernandez and Mr. Fenomeno Cruz- vice president of Angat Farmers Federation. We also invited Ms. Cha Miravalles the Trade-Industry Development Specialist from DTI Bulacan to help the council answers and clarifies their concerns in the actions to be taken for the implementation of the memo. The implementation of Price Freeze will be effective 60days from July 26,2024 until Sept 26,2024 under the pursuant of the section 6 of Price Act. ( Republic Act No. 7581) which states that under the state of Calamity, the prices of Basic Necessities are automatically frozen.
